The XCE national series was arranged by Citymountainbike and BODASK (Bodrum Mountain Bike Club) in Bodrum, Turkey. The event's main sponsor was the leading energy company in Turkey, OPET, with co-sponsors TGA (Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency), Bodrum Municipality and Blue Dreams Resort.
Fifty contestants from 10 countries participated in this breathtaking race with beautiful backdrops from the Aegean coastal city of Bodrum. With mountain bikes racing thru the historical city centre celebrated by a crowd of spectators.
The winner for the women's class was Didi de Vries from the Netherlands, and for the men's class, the winner was Lorenzo Serres from France.
